The aim of the project was to conduct a survey of all Salvadoran universities
to provide an in-depth description of the professional education, business education,
and economics programs and national law schools, in order to gauge the feasibility
of their participation in a larger University Linkages Development program to be
financed by USAID.

SECID developed a standardized database to present information on all of the
universities in El Salvador. The database included information on each university's
history, manpower, degree programs, facilities, cost structure, and future
development programs. Following analysis of the data, the team of consultants
generated recommendations to strengthen the educational programs for
each institution.
